Our AA Assessment 2012

In addition to the luxury static caravans on this park this 3-acre site has ample space for 30 pitches and 7 hard-standings. Accessed down narrow Cornish lanes, and elevated with stunning seascape views towards The Lizard, the site opens into a wide tarmac access road with an electronic barrier at the entrance,

I met Kevin on a miserable day, when the mist was hanging and rain was soaking everything. However, the site looked delightful. Every grass area was lush and expertly mown to a great level, and all hedging, shrubs and mature trees were very neatly trimmed.  All timber fencing etc was well treated, and the signage was really uniformed and added a real classy look to the site.

The facilities were just as good. Extremely functional, bright and fresh with every piece of equipment necessary for a family, even bright pictures on the walls, but more importantly they were spotlessly clean. The site has every possible facility, i.e. a Tourist Information Room, Internet Access (Wi-Fi through BT Openzone), a superb Library, and Telephone Room. There is a very comprehensive Recycling/Refuse compound completely undercover and each receptacle meticulously labelled, and it’s quite understandable that this site has the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation.

There is a well-stocked shop on site and the Reception area is extremely professional.

I congratulate the owners for gaining an increased percentage in their Quality Score to 87% within the 3 Pennant rating, and wish them a very successful 2012 season.

It is a real pleasure to come to this family run park overlooking the sea on the south coast of Cornwall above Polruan on the river Fowey. To maintain the very high standards previously achieved, the whole family has been involved and worked very hard throughout the year. The word immaculate springs to mind when describing the site and facilities.

From Plymouth stay on the A38 across Tamar Bridge follow the signs for Liskeard, after Liskeard stay on the A38 until you reach Twelvewoods  roundabout at Dobwalls, take the A390 (2nd exit) to St Austell, passing through East Taphouse, just after Valley View Garage on your right take the left turning B3359 for Looe and Polperro, after approximately four miles turn right at Lanreath to Polruan and Bodinnick, again after approximately four miles and after passing through Lanteglos Highway turn left at the Red telephone box the park is well sign posted from then on.
