Stayed here 5 nights in our campervan, didn’t want to leave, this campsite is amazing, best kept campsite we’ve ever stay at in over twenty years, just knocked our favourite campsite off the top of our list. Toilets/showers spotless, the whole park is immaculate and a credit to the owners who work hard to keep it that way. Magnificent sea view looking on to Mevagissey down to the lizard.
Kevin, Trudy and their son Barry (the owners) are lovely people and so very helpful, we had a problem with getting our campervan started, but Barry managed to sort it for us. Lots of information on walks, local attractions and activities, great little library, also free use of fridge, microwave, freezer. Best campsite shop I have ever seen. This is an extremely well manged campsite, all campers very friendly and wanting to chat, had a drink with the neighbours one evening whilst watching the sunset on the horizon, spectacular. All campers appear to respect each other, others have mentioned about the rules, the rules certainly never bothered us, all help us to relax, feel safe and enjoy our stay. We’re most certainly be returning.
All campers very friendly, wanting to chat, & appear to respect each other.
Arrived back home in the very early hours from another brilliant holiday in Polruan and another stay at this fantastic campsite. We previously stayed here 2 years ago and chose the site because of the location and great reviews. I can say that the campsite has lost none of its appeal. If you want a campsite which caters for large, rowdy groups who give no regard for families this is not the site for you. The site is very well run and organised. Everything is spotless, including the toilets and showers, washing areas, and the grounds themselves. Visitors also have the opportunity to use fridge and freezer space and microwave facilities for free, something most campsites don't offer and are a bonus whilst camping. The site is very well laid out to accommodate caravans, camper vans, large tents with electric and smaller tents whilst still feeling very spacious and private.
The shop is stocked with a fantastic range and a local produce, also a fish and chip van visits the camp every week.
Kevin, Trudy and Barry work extremely hard all of the time to make each stay extremely enjoyable. Never too busy to stop and chat, offer local advice or help with any issues you may have whilst staying with them. It really feels like you are living in their home for a week and they are extremely inviting and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. They have very clear expectations of what they expect from visitors and these expectations are what makes the site what it is. All I can say is that whilst we were camping there were at least another 3 previous visitors to the site also staying which proves how great and friendly this site is and makes people
come back time after time. What more can I say???? Lovely, lovely people.
We will be going back again as soon as we can!!!

Whilst in Fowey why not take a walk to Readymoney Cove and then further onto Polkerris, here you will find the pub on the beach and restaurant and if you are still feeling energetic step on for par beach.
From Fowey you can hire a boat and take a trip up this magnificent stretch of the estuary where you may see cormorants, egrets, mallards, swans, herons and kingfishers that make this part of the river their home, stop off at Golant and take a rest at the Fisherman’s Arms and then head-on to the stunning village of Lerryn where the village green lies beside the water’s edge, From Fowey you can also take a boat trip to Mevagissey you may even see the dolphins or basking sharks along this picturesque stretch of the Cornish coastline.
